Probably Guilty

The act

A relaxed, soulful atmosphere could form around Probably Guilty's live music, with jazz, vintage rock and Latin styles among the sounds for your wedding. The four piece also draws on country, soul and RnB, with all members singing lead parts and harmonies in a performance shaped to the room. You might consider them for afternoon drinks or a quieter part of the reception, allowing that laid back character to accompany time with your guests. Lyn plays bass and piano parts on keyboard, Tristian adds cajon and congas, Kim plays guitar and Arnie contributes his voice to the ensemble.

Good to know

What to expect

An easy night with players who've been doing this a long time, here and overseas. Every gig comes out differently, because Probably Guilty read the room and the crowd in it rather than working through a fixed set. The styles move around a lot: jazz, vintage rock, Latin, country, soul and R&B, all four members singing. It suits a long afternoon or an unhurried evening more than a hard dance party. And all of it is played live, with nothing running off a track.

On the day

All the equipment comes with the band and it scales to whatever you've got. A small vocal PA that takes up almost no floor works for a tight room or a restaurant corner. At the other end there's a large system with two subs a side for a proper stage or an outdoor event. Tell them the size of the space and the crowd when you enquire and the right rig gets loaded.

Performance options

The four-piece is the standard booking and it scales to the room, from a compact vocal PA up to a full system. Festival work in regional Victoria and South Australia sits alongside residencies at local venues, so both a long afternoon slot and a shorter function set are familiar ground. If your event doesn't fit the usual shape, say so when you enquire. They're open to working something out.
