The act
Jocean will suit couples who want original acoustic music with a rhythmic edge and room for familiar genres. Available solo or as a duo, the act combines singer songwriter lyrics, energetic acoustic guitar and old world percussion. The music moves through folk love ballads, indie, blues, rock and pop, giving you several moods to consider for the wedding. Lower energy sets are also part of Jocean's work, so a gentler stretch of the day can sit beside the more driving material. The defining sound is original writing carried by acoustic rhythm guitar and percussion.

Good to know
What to expect
Original songs, not covers, which makes JOCEAN a different sort of booking. Singer-songwriter lyrics over driving rhythm guitar, with old world percussion underneath, moving between folk ballads, indie, blues, rock and pop across a set. Solo or as a duo. And there's a quieter version built for cafes and restaurants where nobody's trying to fill a dance floor, so the same act suits a Sunday afternoon and a Friday night. Public liability insurance is held. Based at Shellharbour on the NSW south coast.
On the day
JOCEAN carry a range of PAs, mics and mixers, enough to cover most rooms, so the venue doesn't have to own a system. If they're bringing their own, give them 30 to 60 minutes before the set to get it up and sounding right. Where the venue already runs sound, that window shrinks.
Performance options
Book them solo or as a duo, and the set gets shaped to match. There's a full-energy version and a lower-key one for restaurants and cafes, so the same booking can go either way depending on the room. Sound is handled at their end when it needs to be: they carry a range of PAs, mics and mixers that cover most venues, and they'll ask for 30 to 60 minutes to get it up when they're bringing the gear themselves. Sets run across folk, indie, blues, rock and pop from their own catalogue.
