Big classic rock anthems, forceful riffs and soaring vocals are what guests notice first when Heatwave starts playing. Their set draws on Aussie rock and singalong favourites, with songs by AC/DC, INXS, The Angels and The Rolling Stones in the repertoire. The band can adapt its song choices to the mood, so you could discuss a more relaxed part of the wedding before asking them to turn up the rock energy. Summer of '69, Twist and Shout and Pump It Up hint at the kind of celebratory finish available. This is for couples who want their reception to feel like a live rock show.

Good to know
What to expect
Loud classic rock, and a room full of people who know every word. Heatwave play the anthems, and the show changes shape depending on where they're playing: a relaxed Sunday afternoon session is a different set to a festival stage, and they adjust rather than run the same 90 minutes everywhere. What stays constant is the playing and the stage presence. If you want your guests singing back at the band by the third song, that's the kind of night this is.
On the day
The minimum stage area is 8 foot by 4 foot. Smaller rooms and odd shapes aren't a problem though, and they'll work through your available space with you beforehand to sort out where everything goes so the sound and the sightlines both work.
Set List
Classic rock anthems, Aussie pub rock and singalongs, weighted towards AC/DC, INXS, The Rolling Stones and The Angels. On the list: Alone With You by Sunnyboys, Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, April Sun In Cuba by Dragon, Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet, Beast Of Burden, Better by The Screaming Jets, Blitzkrieg Bop, Born To Be Wild, Born In The U.S.A., Bow River and Cheap Wine by Cold Chisel, Burning Love, Chelsea Dagger, Dakota, Danger Zone, Devil Inside and Don't Change by INXS, Eagle Rock, Good Times, Hard To Handle, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Summer Of '69 and Twist And Shout.
