What to expect
Six players who've each been doing this professionally for the better part of two decades, and it shows in how little fuss there is. The instruments, the sound rig and the lighting are all top-shelf, and an engineer stays with the band right through the night rather than setting up and vanishing. Between live sets, DJ tunes keep the room moving so the energy never flatlines. It works for a wedding, a corporate function, a festival stage, or a regular night at a bar or bistro.
On the day
The band and the sound and lighting engineer arrive a few hours before your event starts. That buffer is deliberate: it covers the full production load-in and a proper sound check, so by the time your first guests walk in, everything has already been tested and set.
Set List
Pop, rock, dance, retro and a bit of country, and the band reads the room as the night goes rather than marching through a fixed list. Prince opens things with 1999, and the party end holds Uptown Funk territory: Addicted to Love, Ain't Nobody, All Night Long, Bad Romance, Believe, Ballroom Blitz and Beat It. Australian songs get plenty of room, with April Sun in Cuba and Are You Old Enough from Dragon, Are You Gonna Be My Girl from Jet, Better Be Home Soon from Crowded House, Always a Winner from Pete Murray and Better from the Screaming Jets. Then there's the older weight of Baker Street, Bad Moon Rising, Bennie and the Jets and Be My Baby, and the newer stuff too, All of Me, Attention, Bad Habits and Beneath Your Beautiful among them. Achy Breaky Heart handles the country nod.
Performance options
Four different shows, really. The Top 40 band covers the best pop, rock, dance and retro from the seventies through to now. There's a seventies and eighties disco tribute if you want the whole night pointed at the dance floor, a straight seventies hits show, and a rock tribute running seventies through nineties. Pick the one that fits your crowd and the band builds the night around it.
